Shirley Newcomb

Shirley Newcomb is a seasoned Neuromuscular Therapist with an array of equine clients—from family friends to world champions. She cites numerous success stories that she attributes to the AlphaSonic™ and says that continuing education is key to her success. She makes a point of attending AlphaSonic™ workshops and having regular phone consulatations with Susan Stoltz.

The give and take of information that occurs in the open forum setting of the workshops keeps her practice thriving. She says she loves learning from others' experiences and sharing her own insights. After attending Susan's latest seminar in San Diego, Shirley raved, "It's all new each time to me! I learn new things at every seminar. I always want to get the feel for new information from the combination of experiences that people share at the workshops. There's nothing like it!"

She says the real rewards come when she gets to integrate that information and hands-on experience into her own practice. An experience for which she's most grateful came when a three day old foal was faltering. He was severely knock-kneed in front; the canon bone (below the knee to the ankle adjoining the hoof) on his left front leg was turned nearly 90-degrees to the right. Popular opinion seemed to say that he was a hopeless case. Her AlphaSonic™ coupled with her experience and insight said otherwise.

When the foal was just three days old, Shirley began working on him with the AlphaSonic™ to relax muscular tension and to strengthen weakened muscles. Applying the AlphaSonic™ to specific acupuncture points and sweeping meridians, she worked on him for four days in a row. She wasn't sure what would become of the progress they had made when she had to interrupt his therapy by going out of town for three days. Much to her pleasure, upon return she found his right leg was noticeably more straight, as seen in the first image.

With just five more days of AlphaSonic™ treatment and a phone consultation with Susan Stoltz, the horse was structurally sound and his legs were perfectly straight, as shown here.

While her colleagues were amazed, Shirley humbly and simply explains her view of the healing. "God used the AlphaSonic™ to encourage the body and the energy to return to a healthy state so that the body could heal itself the way it was intended." And she intends to keep educating herself and sharing her knowledge. Saying she looks forward to the next seminar, she concludes, "It's like a refresher course every time you go! And you always seem to learn just what you need!"

In fact, Shirley is so motivated by the consistent results she sees and her desire to help others, she recently hosted her own workshop and plans to continue her outreach work. "I'd like to host another seminar. During the one I hosted, we all witnessed a horse who had been blind for eight months get his vision back. And in another case, a crippled horse regained his ability to walk normally."
