 Veterinarian Debra Smith complements her standard practices with a combination of natural healing modalities including acupuncture, naturopathic medicine and the AlphaSonic™. Although she is retired, she still consults, and treats for a few select clients. Claire is an English Setter that was born into Debra's family of pets. The puppy seemed fine at birth, but experience told Dr. Smith that Claire had a problem. The young setter appeared to lack strength in her hips and hind legs. At 12-weeks the puppy was almost completely grounded with pain, incapable of running or playing with her siblings. She howled and cried whenever she put weight on her hind legs. A combination of regular acupuncture and laser therapy resulted in temporary pain relief, but her affliction would simply recur. Claire was getting worse.
