It's Dog Gone Wild! Rottweiler Owner Finds Relief Through Guided Therapy Sessions For Her Severely Disturbed Dog
Marybeth Cosma: Insurance
Connecticut
When three month old Prada, a pure-bred Rottweiler pup, first came home with Marybeth Cosma she was in every way the fun and frisky companion. But by the time she was five months old, she had begun to change dramatically and inexplicably.
Anxiety and aggressive, territorial behavior started surfacing in greater degrees with each passing day. She suffered from gastro-intestinal discomfort and started soiling several times per day in the house. She also began tearing up the household furniture. Any time an animal or person came within her vision or hearing range, she barked, growled and made every attempt to get outside, apparently attempting to defend what she perceived as her territory.
In one instance, she became so agitated she broke through a leaded glass door to get out into the yard. Marybeth recalls another time when Prada was in the car with her and spotted another dog. She began to bark and scratch at the dashboard uncontrollably, trying to break through the window. The dog seemed miserable, unable to relax, and Cosma, who works from home, was able to accomplish very little aside from monitoring and managing Prada's behavior and constantly cleaning up after her.
The frustrated but committed pet owner tried everything to no avail. Her dog's behavior left her traditional veterinarian puzzled. The homeopathic remedies and nutritional supplements recommended by a naturopathic vet provided only temporary relief. Determined to find resolution, she even made the trekwith Prada in towto Boston's prestigious Tuft's University. But after searching for nearly two years, the outcomes were all the same: fleeting results and protocol that masked the behavior rather than resolving it. She didn't want to medicate her dog. She wanted to help her dog to truly heal.
Enter the AlphaSonic™. Cosma finally found Dr. Kath Meenan, a veterinarian who incorporates the AlphaSonic™ and chiropractic in her practice. Prada began to get some relief. Her aggressive, almost paranoic behavior began to mollify somewhat. But sensing that the dog would benefit from deeper therapy, the vet suggested that Cosma consult with Susan Stoltz, founder of AlphaSonic™.
Via private phone consultation, Susan and Marybeth discussed Prada's specific behavior. Using kinesiology, acute awareness and insights from thousands of successful cases behind her, Susan quickly identified some core issues in Prada. From 3,000 miles away, Marybeth was impressed with Susan's rapid assessment of Prada's issues and her ability to facilitate their resolution over the phone. Although Prada and Marybeth did not have an AlphaSonic™, Susan employed other healing techniques that she uses in her private consulting practice. It only took a few short sessions for total resolution. By the end of each session, Prada was relaxed and yawning, tell tale signs of endorphine release. Within minutes of each session, significant changes were noted in Prada's behavior patterns. The first milestone came with the dog's chronic soiling in the house. That problem was reduced from several times per day to an occasional "oops twice per week." When Susan and Marybeth addressed the obsessive, agressive behavior, changes occurred within minutes. Susan explains that in her experience, the techniques she uses not only unlock physical patterns but also emotional patterns on a cellular level, freeing the body and the mind from negative repetition.
So Prada's demeanor in the comfort zone of home became more calm. And Marybeth enthusiastically recounts another excursion with her dog that had a completely different outcome than previously. Within 24 hours of a private consultation specifically addressing the aggressive behavior, the two were in the car again when a little girl holding a small dog came into range. In the previous situation, Prada had tried to go through the windshield and then proceeded to tear at the dashboard. This encounter was going to be a true test. This time, the 2 1/2-year old Rottweiler, panted with excitement as the girl came over to say hello to the curious dog. Prada merely acknowledged the "personal space invaders" and looked at Marybeth for command. She told Prada everything was okay, and Prada relaxed. With dashboard and windshield intact, they proceeded about their day.
Marybeth says she and her companion are healing in stages, "like peeling layers from an onion." She says on a scale from 1-10, she feels like the level of relief she found with the private phone consultations "is about a 9 on the way to a 10!!" and surpasses anything she could have found elsewhere. She finds it difficult to explain how Prada has changed. She simply says, "If people have an open mind and accept and believe that change is possible, this technology and the techniques Susan uses will lead them in the right direction to heal." She feels like the reward for remaining committed to her dog through all of the ordeals has been her personal path to healing.
On a side note, during the first of four sessions with Susan, Marybeth had been in bed for three days with a chronic headache that had plagued her for eight months. At the start of the initial consultation for Prada, Susan had sensed Marybeth's discomfort. The chronic headache was cleared in minutes before moving on to addressing Prada's issues. Over one month later, Prada is still a changed dog, and Marybeth remains headache free in more ways than one.
